Guest Artist

Paul Green

Guest artist on issue 6

Paul began his comic career working on the four issue Starship Troopers: Bad Blood series with writer Cy Dethan for AAM Markosia.  Flash Gordon came next, a 6 issue re-telling by Brendan Deneen of the classic pulp sci-fi stories.  Paul is now working on a video-game/comic tie-in with a New Jersey based company, lettered by Comicraft, which will hit the stores with one of the top US publishers sometime later this year.  He's just about to sign a deal with Disney and Kingdom Comics, which will see a Graphic Novel release later this year.  And if he's not too busy, he has a couple of very personal Graphic Novel projects on the back burner -- Sunset and Contagion -- authored by close friends which will see releases with Markosia sometime soon.

Lee Townsend

Guest artist on issue 7

Lee is currently inking for DC Comics, 2000ad, Panini, and drawing storyboards for a upcoming live action Sci-Fi film. He started in the comic industry in 1992 drawing childrens comics, after this he spent several years working in the animation industry for Disney and Dreamworks.

He then returned to comics which was always his first love, working for Marvel UK (Spectacular Spiderman, X-men, Hulk and Avengers) and 2000ad (Judge Dredd and Sinister Dexter), DC and Image Comics.

John Charles

Guest artist on issue 8

John Charles was born John Charles Mould and dropped the (silly) surname by deed poll. He’s been into comics since he was twelve, and that was a very long time ago.

Along the way John has been a graphic designer for Trident Comics, drawn/painted covers and Future Shocks for 2000AD, illustrated covers for Antarctic Press, and pencilled for Marvel UK. Back in the day he was part of a team of young comics fans who created the seminal fanzine, ‘Workin’ Klass Super Hero’; perhaps best-known for showcasing the early work of the uber-talented Glenn Fabry. John is also the co-creator of the self-published childen's book, 'Tiger J. Jackson and the School for Weird Kids', and the equally self-published novel, 'Kiri the Fairy Barmaid', both co-written with old chum, Barry May. (Visit www.tigerjjackson.com)

John is currently working regularly as a penciller and colourist for Panini UK on licensed Marvel characters for their ‘Marvel Heroes’ title, has coloured for their ‘Spectacular Spider-Man’ and has even co-written, again, with Barry May, for that title: a three issue long Spidey story co-starring The X-Men. Not a bad set of characters to make one’s professional writing debut with.

John sometimes provides cover art for Orang Utan Comics, and now the amazing Reaper Comics, and is secretly (and rather slowly) developing characters of his own.

John will be fifty in April 2010, but the twelve-year-old boy in his head still dominates his mind. Comics are addictive. Be warned.
